Pacific Aire Home Services – Healthy Home Advantage

Out in our daily lives, we protect our families from airborne contaminants and outside viruses by washing our hands and using hand sanitizers. But how do we protect our loved ones in our own home? The bottom line is that without properly installed and sealed duct work, anything in your attic can end up in your kitchen bedrooms, your entire home. Additionally, inadequate insulation in your attic can shorten the life of your heating and cooling system and can needlessly waste money in utility over payment, not having adequate insulation in your attic is like opening up your home and letting it overheat. Attic insulation saves you money on the heating and cooling of your home. First, we start with removing old dusty insulation, debris, and bird and rodent droppings, and install a radiant heat barrier to reflect heat back through the roof. This will help keep the attic and insulation dramatically cooler and reduce the heat transfer to your home. We disinfect and seal the attic and get rid of any traces of rodents. This will improve indoor air quality, remove harmful contaminants and deter the reentry of rodents. The final step is blowing new insulation. New installation reduces heating and cooling bills and prolongs the life of your HVAC equipment.

Now that everything is clean in your attic, getting a new air distribution system and attic installation up to modern efficiency standards is next. We do that using our 12-step magic.

Step 1

Onsite analysis of your current heating, cooling, and duct system.

Step 2

The Pacific Aire Clean Air System is designed by an expert to meet the comfort levels in your home.

Step 3

The inner barrier of the clean air system is sealed using approved EOC, mastic sealing, and pulled over the metal connection. A UL listed pressure sensitive adhesive may also be used.

Step 4

A high tension draw band is then secured around the connection, creating a permanent seal.

Step 5

An outer liner of free insulation and reflective vapor barrier is then pulled over the seal connection and secured with another high tension draw band.

Step 6

All exposed metal connections and joints will be sealed with approved EOC, mastic sealant, or acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive and insulation.

Step 7

Insulation is added over any exposed metal. This step ensures proper installation of the healthy home system, so the temperatures in your attic or crawlspace don’t affect the temperature or humidity coming into your home.

Step 8

Adjustable airflow dampers are installed as needed throughout the system. This is done to avoid any hot or cold spots and maintain a nice even temperature throughout the home, so everyone can be comfortable.

Step 9

High flow registers are then added to maximize air flow to each room in your home.

Step 10

Every register that is secured to the wall or ceiling is sealed with waterproof mildew resistant caulking to prevent leakage between the register and metal connection.

Step 11

The addition of a fresh, new insulation creates a barrier that will keep heat from radiating into your home, it will also lower your heating and cooling bills and prolong the life of your heating and cooling system.

Step 12

Your new Pacific Aire Clean air system is tested in accordance with California’s Title 24 standard by a third party.
